DOMAINE DE BELLE MARE

Along the Mediterranean, at the end of the Golfe du Lion, stretches one of the oldest wine-growing areas in France, right along the Étang de Thau.
The AOC "Picpoul de Pinet" and its 1,300 hectares of vines are the largest white wine appellation in Languedoc. The unique grape variety "Le Picquepoul Blanc" gives iodized flavor and liveliness appreciated by lovers of shellfish. And Benjamin Baudry, cellar master of Belle Mare, has succeeded in pressing the best Picpoul with 91 points.

In the heart of the Pays d'Oc, the Belle Mare winery, due to the Mediterranean climate and the influence of L'Étang de Thau, offers particularly favorable conditions for the production of wines typical of this region. The white and rosé wines awaken the senses and are fragrant and lively, while the red wines are elegant and powerful.

The character of the grape varieties is reflected in the wines and impressively meets the taste expectations of our customers.

CHÂTEAU VIEUX BONNEAU, MONTAGNE SAINT EMILION

CHÂTEAU VIEUX BONNEAU AOP Montagne St. Emilion, Puisseguin St. Emilion, AOP Bordeaux Supérieur

Franck Despagne's vineyards in Montagne Saint-Émilion are located between Pomerol to the west and Saint-Emilion to the south. They cover 25 hectares in the heart of the most prestigious terroirs of Libournais.
Alain and Franck Despagne have made this domain the benchmark for lovers of subtle wines with a generous, full and assertive character.

The dominant soil is clay-limestone with some clay-sand nuances in the west. The wines are colorful and range from vermilion to black cherry. On the nose they are lively, intense and powerful. The mouth is full and generous. The average age of the vines is 35 years, the oldest vineis a hundred years old! The grape varieties are 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.
The estate's cuvée wines, l'Envie, Chateau Vieux Bonneau and Château Jamard Belcour, regularly win awards at the Concours de Bordeaux and the Salon des Vignerons Indépendants.

Driven by a desire to innovate and develop unique flavors, the winery is currently experimenting with vinification in clay amphorae. Franck Despagne is using a small portion of the 2018 vintage for this purpose. The wine will be available for sale later this year. From earth to wine, wine to earth comes full circle in the most beautiful way!

DOMAINE DE FERRANT BIO AOP DURAS

DOMAINE DE FERRANT AOP CÔTES DE DURAS CERTIFIED ORGANIC

Côte de Duras, Domaine de Ferrant, is the new AOP in our portfolio.
"How do you go from being a gifted bridge builder to a successful organic winemaker?" we asked Denis Vuillien, the owner of the winery. His answer was, "One must always set challenging goals in life."

He pursues his goal with engineering precision. And the result is impressive. The 100% biodynamically produced wines, exclusively with autochthonous grape varieties of the region, are rich, mineral, very fruity, well-structured and wonderfully digestible!

A "bravo" to engineer and winemaker Denis Vuillien!

The 13 hectares of vineyards of the domain extend over the plateaus and southern slopes dominating the Dropt Valley, composed of clay and limestone soils and boulbènes (silt and clay).

Cultivated 1/3 white grape varieties and 2/3 red grape varieties.

White wine vines:
65% Sauvignon and 35% Semillon

Red vines:
53% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Malbec
Domaine de Ferrant wines regularly receive high awards. E.g. in 2018 the gold medal for the "Blanc Tradition 2016" and in 2019 the silver medal for the "Cuvé Signature 2016" on the occasion of the Concours des Grands Vins de France in Macon.

CHATEAU DE CHAMBERT BIO MALBEC

CHÂTEAU DE CHAMBERT DEMETER ORGANIC MALBEC AOP CAHORS

Château de Chambert is the largest exclusively biodynamic winery in the AOP Cahors appellation, the cradle of the Malbec grape variety.
And not only in our opinion, Philippe Lejeune presses the world's best Malbec wine. His top wine "Grand Vin 2009", 100% Malbec, was chosen in 2016 by Decanter among the "Top-50 world's best wines".

We have been working with Château de Chambert since 2003 and have been very successful in distributing the château's wines, which are full of character. The consistent quality of the wines and their enormous aging potential can be relied upon.

Since Philippe Lejeune took over the château from the Delgoulet family in 2008, Stéphane Derenoncourt has been advising on viticulture and vinification. And with impressive energy and large investments in the vineyards, vinification and wine laboratory, Philippe Lejeune has put his winery at the top of the châteaus.

The introduction of biodynamics has allowed Philippe Lejeune to better understand each of the 60 plots of the 65 hectares of vineyards and to find for each its natural balance for viticulture. This work lasted 6 years, after all. The knowledge gained from this process led to a change in vinification, ultimately to bring all these terroir influences into the wine and into the bottles.

The vinification has been completely changed. Since 2014, the vinification is done in concrete tanks and since 2016, the wine ages in 30hl barrels. Today, from vine to bottle, everything has been redesigned to preserve the best of Château de Chambert: a unique wine of elegance and finesse, supported by a fine, digestible acidity.
