Akarua Sauvignon Blanc 2018

Central Otago - Highly floral with citrus blossoms, particularly mandarin flower; and talc, a little gooseberry and guava. The palate is juicy, slightly earthy with a mineral, wet stone note; the acidity is structured and linear, with great energy and drive. A very pretty and lively sauvignon blanc.

Central Otago - Golden, straw colour. Complex nose of yellow nectarine flesh, lemon zest, kaffir lime leaf, clover honey and earthy minerality with exotic notes of papaya and jasmine. Palate follows through with pink grapefruit juiciness, fine linear acidity lending length and focus, lifted ground fennel spice perfume and finishing with river stone minerals.

Central Otago - Deep and bright ruby. Multi-faceted nose of blood plums and red cherries; with star anise, nutmeg and cinnamon; and garrigue - brambles, wild thyme, heather, rosehip and crushed herbs. The palate structure is lithe; the acids are juicy yet taut, and the fine supple tannins lengthen the smoky mineral finish. The flavour spectrum finishes with earthy notes from the vineyards - schist gravels and river pebbles.
