Chateau de Chaintres Sables 2019

Saumur-Champigny AOC - Vineyard : certified Organic (EcoCert) 2013 Yield : 40Hl/Ha Vineyard and Soils : tillage, cover crop between rows Winemaking : Entirely manual harvest in small (25Kg) boxes, sorted on the vines then again the in the cellar for optimum selection before winemaking. 100% de-stemming. Fermentation in temperature controlled stainless vats using pied de cuve (yeast inoculation) to avoid using sulfur during ferment. Ferment finished at 24° to maintain elegance. 10 days maceration followed by 5-months aging in stainless vats, on the fine lees, and with no additional sulfites. Clarification and light filtration as needed, followed by light sulfiting at bottling.

Chateau de Chaintres Vielles Vignes 2019

Saumur-Champigny AOC - Vineyard: Yields: 30hl/ha Viticulture: tilling, cover crops, mulching and other traditional organic vineyard practices are followed. Vineyard certified Organic (EcoCert) 2013 Winemaking: The harvest is 100% manual, sorted on the vine as well as at reception. Grapes are de-stemmed, maceration at low temperatures for approximately 25 days. Aged 9 months in stainless steel, light filtering at bottling. Visual: deep ruby robe with brillant rim, Nose: bright red fruit with notes of kirsch Palate: supple and tender on the palate, pleasing supple tannins and gentle yet complete structure.
