Koh-I-Noor Cabernet Franc 2011 - Our Best of Show Hungary wine
Very dark ruby color. Densely aromatic nose of concentrated dried plum mingling with chocolate. Decanting reveals wonderful layers of dark berry fruits with sandalwood and sweet spices. In the mouth displays powerful fruitiness with velvety tannins and wonderful dark chocolate. Barrel notes stay in the background letting to play out the character of grape variety. Aftertaste lasts for minutes.

Picked by Hand
The grapes were carefully selected by hand. The perfectly ripe and healthy berries were not crushed. The fermentation was managed on low temperatures in stainless steel tanks and after completed skin contact was maintained for two weeks. Separated free – run wine were used for ageing in small barrels for 14 months. Bottled after gentle clarification without filtering.
2011 vintage allowed this variety to show its full – fledged proprietary character. It shows the pure substance of Cabernet Franc without compromise. Our goal was to make an excellent wine to our taste which could express in itself the beauty of winemaker s profession. Creating this wine was a joyful procedure for us and we hope tasting it brings one a great delight.
Goes perfectly for celebration menus, game, and is fantastic with dark chocolate based desserts.
