Distilled by Pierre in the 70’s, this cognac represent the «rancio» charentais at its peak. Complex nose with notes of candied plum and apricot, brioche and cigar box. Ample palate, smooth and oppulent in mouth; great aromatic complexity. Lingering finish.
A voluptuous experience full of sensuality.

Cognac Ancestrale _ Grande Champagne 1er Cru

Blend made of eaux-de-vie distilled by André and Abel, father and grand-father of Pierre. An exceptional cognac, intense aromatic complexity wood and «rancio» mingle with excellence. It has a very subtle nose and melts a wonderful balance between aromas of nuts, narcissus, cocoa, spices and candied fruit, old port, leather and cigar box. Extreme persistence. A Grande Chapagne at its best. Only a very limited number of bottles available (300).

Due to the limited size of our estate, this product allow us to share our passion and traditional method at reasonable price. also appreciated as a business gift or during the end of the year.

In 1702, Jacques FERRAND distils his first harvest in Biard domain which mark the birth of a long tradition. More than 10 generations later, Pablo perpetuate the tradition to promote cognacs from “Bouilleur de Cru” all over the world with success.

The « bouilleur de cru » status is only gives in France to wine-growers who use their own still to distill exclusively the juice of his vineyard. Initially more than 65 000 in the 1950s, only 30 000 in the 80s and less than 1 200 today in activity in the Cognac area. This unique knowledge passed down from generation to generation is a privilege that guaranty the quality of the eau-de-vie obtained by the distillation process.
