Dolcetto d'Alba DOC Castellizzano

A splendid fragrant, fruity dry red wine made by vinifying the best grapes grown on our vineyards. It is a very-well structured, elegant wine packed with aromas and flavours. It is recommended with all the dishes of our cuisine, from the appetizers right through to the cheeses.

Town: Treiso.

Cru: Castellizzano.

Solar Exposure: South-east.

Vine: Dolcetto.

Breeding kind: Arched-cane Guyot system.

Wine making: The grapes are picked and selected when they are fully ripe, and the vinification is begun immediately. The must ferments on the skins for 8 days at a temperature of approx. 29° C. The malolactic fermentation is developed immediately after racking. Some months storage in oak tonneau of medium capacity, impart harmony and austerity.

Colour: Very intense ruby-red with nice violet highlights.

Fragrance: Vinous and fragrant at the same time; fruity, very full and persistent.

Taste: Dry, well-balanced, pleasantly bitterish; well-structured and elegant an easy-drinking wine on account of its.

Surface: 1,1 Ha.

Langhe Arneis DOC

The sand hills of the Roero and sunny, on the left bank of the Tanaro River is the perfect setting to make elegant wines, fruity and rich floral sensation. The Arneis grape is a demanding, intriguing and fascinating. The wine is made from soft pressing of the grapes and the white fermentation at low temperature of the wort. Does not require long periods of aging and you can already enjoy from the early months of the year following the harvest.

Appellation: Roero Arneis DOC.

Town: Sunrise and Trezzo Tinella.

Exposition: South (Alba), South-east (Trezzo Tinella).

Vine: Arneis.

Breeding kind: Guyot.

Wine making: The grapes choices are picked fully ripe and start immediately to winemaking. The must obtained by pressing, is stabilized in stainless steel tanks where it matures.

Colour: straw yellow with greenish reflections.

Bouquet: delicate and intense, herbaceous.

Taste: dry, full-bodied and enveloping.

Together with tenacity, in the name of Barbaresco

Cantina Pertinace: a winegrowers’ cooperative which identifies with its territory, the region of Barbaresco, where tenacity, passion and work make the members the main protagonists of a business named after a great historical personality, Elvio Pertinace, who was born in Alba, in the hamlet in which the winery is located.

Founded in 1973 following a project by Mario Barbero, the Vignaioli winery had thirteen members in the region of Treiso. They all shared a tie with the Langa hills and the same desire a: to create a business able to process the grapes and put a new brand on the market, symbol of a land of great wines.

They bet on Nebbiolo for Barbaresco, in the late 70s they started to bottle their wine. Its development has never stopped, thanks to the sacrifices made by the members: the venues were enlarged in the 80s and equipped with state-of-the-art technologies; in 1990 a packaging area was added. The members have always been market-oriented, with great interest in foreign countries.

The promotion of the Barbaresco region, the high quality of the wines and the identity of Cantina Pertinace were immediately appreciated. Over the years they have reached the world’s markets, consolidating their presence especially in the United States, in Denmark, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Poland, South Korea, Japan and Hong Kong.

In 2014 was inaugurated the new building housing the bottling and the stockroom. And the local historians are used to give more space to the ageing cellar.
