What are the greatest challenges at the present for Zuccardi Valle de Uco?
Our greatest challenge is making wines that reflect the uniqueness of the place where they grow. We want our wines to express the landscape, the climate and the soil of the micro regions in the Uco Valley and also their relationship with the Andes Mountains as well as our worldview we look for: the purest respect for the terroir.
All of us around the world had interesting new experiences while facing the unprecedented corona virus crisis? Any unexpected positive outcome you can share with us?
We have faced very challenging moments which demand a lot of energy and prevention to be able to take care of ourselves and to take care of our entire team which is the main objective. Luckily we have been able to continue working since this situation started during the harvest.
If I had to think of something positive from my place: since I cannot travel I have much more time to be in the vineyards - what is the key to the wines we make!
What special activities have you developed after the postponement of ProWein this year to promote sales of your wines and spirits? Do you perhaps have particularly outstanding examples?
We have made several virtual activities, as tastings in Instagram Live, seminars and webinars where we had the opportunity to be very close to costumers, journalists, sommeliers and followers.
What three things are you looking forward to most with regard to ProWein 2021?
Zuccardi Valle de Uco is a family project with it owns identity. We would like to talk about the different areas of the Uco Valley and show the work we are developing. ProWein is a big opportunity to tell about our work and share it with our clients and friends worldwide.
And the last question: Do you have any special wine recommendation at this special time?
I would recommend Zuccardi Concreto, as it is a wine that represents us. It is a wine that clearly tells the family's philosophy and the potential of the region.
