Effective January 1, 2019, Dionysos Imports of Manassas, Virginia, will represent the Richard Böcking Winery (Weingut Richard Böcking) in the U.S. states of Virginia, Maryland, and District of Columbia (D.C.). Dionysos will also make Böcking wines availiable for its distributors in the states of Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.
Dionysos Imports was established in 1991 by Ioannis (Yannis) G. Tsapos. Initially, Dionysos imported and distributed wines exclusively from Greece and Cyprus. In 1992, the portfolio was expanded to include wines from Italy, as well as from Virginia and California. In 1993 and 1994, further expansion included wines from France and Portugal.
Today Dionysos imports some of the best rated and regarded wines from France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Lebanon, Chile, Argentina, Armenia, Ukraine, Georgia, Brazil, Turkey and Israel, along with the U.S. states of California, Oregon, New York and Indiana. With the addition of Richard Böcking, Dionysos now expands its portfolio to include the Mosel Valley of Germany.

Richard Böcking was founded in 1624 and continues today under the ownership and management of members of the Böcking family. Focusing on dry and off-dry wines, exportation of their wines begain in 2013, with shipments to the U.K. and U.S. Today, the winery exports to seven countries and is distributed in eleven U.S. states. Its wines have appeared in articles in Wine Enthusiast, Decanter, Wine & Spirits, and Wine Advocate.
Richard Böcking wines are produced exclusively on the steep slopes of their own estate vineyards in Trarbach, Germany.
