Since 1933

The family Sgarzi has been growing vines and producing wines for many generations in Castel S.Pietro Terme, a city, known as the “Wine Town” located on the “Wine Route” at the point where Emilia becomes Romagna, a region where the vine has been cultivated from the most the ancient times. Cantine Sgarzi Luigi has always considered the genuineness to be the most important target and it has continued to invest in the estate and in the winery by combining traditional viniculture with modern technologies. In the first months of 2011 the company has completed the new buildings by its headquarter in Castel S.Pietro Terme and has established two branch offices abroad, in China and in Mexico City. Gradually, alongside the local production, our company has developed partnerships for the production of wines and musts in various Italian regions. Year by year, Cantine Sgarzi Luigi has developed an important export volume and nowadays it is considered a sizable company which presently sells its products in more than 80 countries.
