Enoport United Wines in Angola
03/02/2012
The internationalisation strategy of Enoport United Wines Group (EUW) was initiated in 2007, starting in Angola, a market with which there is a long lasting and historical relationship.
EnoAng Comércio de Bebidas Lda, an Angolan based company was created, dedicated to the local distribution of the Group’s wines and products it commercialises, presenting a wide and complete portfolio of products aiming to reach all market segments.
EnoAng has consistently presented positive results which confirm the success of the Angolan operations, despite the financial crisis that has also hit this market. In August 2008 operations were initiated and since then Sales have been steadily increasing, rising from 1.3M€ in 2008, to 3M€ in 2009 and reaching 5,35M€ in 2010.
EnoAng has a stronger presence in the province of Luanda. A branch in Benguela is planned to open in the second half of 2011. An increase of 40% in turnover is expected for 2011, as a result of the expansion strategy.
EnoAng also enhances EUW exports to Africa. It counts with a team of 30 young and dynamic professionals with significant experience in the Angolan beverage market.
Casaleiro and Romeira, traditional brands within the Group, are two of the most sold brands in the Angolan market. These and other brands, from medium to Premium level, are more representative in this market, and certify the quality and reliability offered by EUW to its consumers.
